3-1 away victory in Bratislava
We are in the EWHL FINALS!!
What an incredible game in Bratislava. Trailing 2-1, we traveled to Bratislava, and what followed was pure excitement. In the first period, we dominated Bratislava, with a shot ratio of 17-3, but only Lena Dauböck managed to find the back of the net. The second and third periods were much more balanced—Bratislava equalized, but shortly after, Lena Artner put us back in the lead. The third period ended scoreless, leading us into overtime. 3-on-3, and again, there were great chances on both sides, with goalkeeper Rosi Fichtinger being an enormous support for the team. It took until the 66th minute: Antonia Matzka won a battle for the puck, passed to Emma McKnight—quick counterattack—pass to Hannah Tait, and she gave the Slovak goalkeeper no chance from close range!!
3-1 final score and a spot in the FINALS!!
The first final game will be next Friday at 8.15 p.m. in St. Pölten.
